5 ADORABLE BOX CLUTCHES

One of the must have clutch inside our closet.

As a hardworking woman, we need a tough accessory that will stand by us through time. And box clutch is the perfect bring along. It has a hard case, so your cell phone will be save just in case you dropped it. And the bonus point for box clutch: they look ultra chic and precious. Here are 5 of my favorites, none from high end brands (can you believe they look so gorgeous without the hefty price tag?).

BLAST FROM THE PAST

Alexander McQueen did it back in 2009 with his Faithful Glove Clutch. Now, the glove clutch is back through one of H&M Maison Martin Margiela’s collection.

Out in November 15 worldwide, the clutch is one of over 60 pieces of women’s collection, curated from various Maison Martin Margiela’s collections over the years started from Fall Winter 1989.

The glove clutch made from real leather and will be available in two colors, deep red and black. Sling it over the shoulder our use it like the real clutch if you please. I bet, all the accessories will be sold out in the first hour of the launching day.

I DON’T WANNA GROW UP

Sigh…looking at life through our children’s eyes is the most joyful thing in this world. Even Peter Pan didn’t want to grow up.

But not every children in this world are so lucky. Especially those in India and Bangladesh. Child labour, poor health and education are their major concerns. And it’s good to know that we can help them through the latest collaboration of H&M and UNICEF.

On October 18, the Swedish retailer will introduce “All For Children” Collection to benefit UNICEF at 300 stores worldwide. H&M and UNICEF are working together to protect the rights of some of the poorest children in the world. H&M will donate 25% of the sale of each garment to UNICEF’s work mainly in India and Bangladesh.

While it feels good to purchase something that eventually helping a cause for children, just look at these adorable clothes. And just in time for halloween, this collection added wizard hats, magic wands and rabbit ears too. Totally adorable, cute and put that smile on my face. Watch this on youtube to make you smile even more.

MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA FOR H&M PICTURES

The collection will be sold in stores at November 15. Yet, some of their images have been reveiled. Now, it made us more curious about the whole collection.

I’m always excited when H&M announced their collaboration projects. For me, it’s double the fun, double the creativity and double the urge to have it. And this Maison Martin Margiela collaboration is no exception. Check out some of the campaign images that were shot by artist and director Sam Taylor-Johnson on the streets of Paris.

Judging by these campaign images, we can expect the much lower priced of Margiela’s signature style. Avant-garde meets sharp tailoring, anyone?

ROLL WITH IT

Never leave your style when it comes to traveling. Airport style has never been cooler than these trunk and trolleys.

Got my eyes hooked on Louis Vuitton Pegase45. Dots looking cheerful and ultra chic, luckily this US$4000 trolley is cabin sized, so one does not have to worry about the expensive luggage being smacked rudely.

Looking like a rib cage is Samsonite by Alexander McQueen. It was designed to protect your belongings like the human rib cage protects our vital organs when we move about in the world. How thoughtful.

The only trunk in this post is also from Samsonite. It’s from their Black Label Collection, back in 2008. This extraordinary piece is full encrusted with Crystallized Swarovski elements and reportedly is sold to the luckiest (and richest I supposed) 30 people in Europe (they were limited edition, folks).

And the funkiest and baroquest of them all, not to mention the latest, is Anna Dello Russo collaboration’s with H&M. The bright turquoise cabin sized luggage, adorned with golden baroque motifs ala Anna. Love it.

WHEN IS OUR TURN?

I forgot when I first fell in love with the brand. For the fast fashion lovers, this Swedish brand is definitely IT!

H&M. Personally, I visited every H&M stores I could find whenever I went abroad. But the most memorable H&M moment for me was when I went to H&M in Singapore for their opening party, September last year. I went to the opening the night before (invitations only) and it was a blast to see Singaporeans lined up the day before the store opened for public (see pictures above). Even though I didn’t know most of the local celebrities and VVIP in Singapore, I snapped a pic of Denise Keller and shopped my guts out that night (yes we were invited to shop).

After hearing so many rumors about H&M in Indonesia where I live, well … eventually, H&M will open sooner in Bangkok, Thailand. Reportedly will be open on September 29, 2012, it will occupied two floors in Siam Paragon. Congratulations. (I wish I can be there for the opening party as well-hello PR people??)

Update news: H&M will open its’ door sooner on September 22, 2012 in Malaysia. Spread across 36.000 square feet at Lot 10, Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur, it’ll be the first store in Malaysia before the second one in Setia City Mall, Shah Alam.

ANIMAL KINGDOM

Let’s bring out the animal(s) in you.

From the high end brands to the high street brands, all these animals can be found easily these days.

PRINCESS BLING

Rich colors and glamour are everywhere for H&M Autumn 2012 collection. Embellishments seem to be the key to elegance which can be found on collars and everywhere on the skirts. It certainly bring on the bling for the latest collection. We’re Indonesians are crossing our fingers for the soon to be open H&M store in Jakarta.

LOOK! IT’S A LOOKBOOK

There are no better ways to check out how the fashion stylists put on together a look, than a Lookbook. It’s like a compilation of photographs to show off the newest collection, and for me, it’s like a dictionary of style. Pronto! Every season, most of designers and clothing line will come up with their very own Lookbook, and these are my favorites from Fall 2012 (from retails to high end brands). Enjoy.
