PERSONALISED IS KEY

This week I got invited to IOMA Indonesia event. Unlike any beauty event I attended, this one was quite different and unique. 

All the guests were ‘challenged’ at TWG Tea Salon & Boutique in Plaza Senayan, to discover our own signature tea blends. As you might already know, IOMA is a number one personalised skin care, so discovering my favourite tea blend is so bespoke. 

I visited TWG several times before, and yes they have so many choices of tea. But at this event, I learned so much more. Apparently, they differentiate their over 800 choices of tea by two general type: Single Estate and Blend. And if you’re a tea drinker like me, wouldn’t it be good to know where they’re coming from and what’s exactly you’re drinking?

Of course, TWG only offers the finest tea leaves from around the world, some are very limited in production which made them more expensive than the others. And yes, they also carefully maintain the hot water to preserve the flavour and aroma of their tea. Turn out, 90 degrees Celsius of hot water is best. Not boiling water nor the hot water from dispenser. And they also use the finest white bone china to serve their tea, because they claimed it’s the best. 

And yes, they only use the leaves once. That’s why you can’t ask for hot water refill in TWG because it’ll change the flavour and aroma of your tea. Interesting, right?

We tasted five different kinds of tea to find out our own favourite, ranging from white tea to blue tea (don’t worry..they’re not literally blue). And my fave will be the white ones. The taste…the aroma…perfect!

Of course, everyone has different favourite as we all have different taste and all. Same goes with our skincare. As our skin are different, we need the precise formula to make it perfect. Enter…..IOMA MA CRÈME. 

Translated into MY CREAM, these are personalised skincare. Made especially for each of us, by doing skin check first before the Beauty Advisor at the counter mix them for us. 

By doing skin check (recommended at every 6 weeks), we’ll know our skin’s need. 

Very high technology, yet very practical..they actually mix them in front of you. Divided into DAY & NIGHT cream, MA CRÈME is actually 1 active base (moisturiser) with 8 variable skin serums (3 hydrating and 5 regenerating). Each drop depends on our skin diagnosis. 

I’ll review them after I use these regularly for four weeks, so stay tune for the review.

Congratulations IOMA Indonesia for their newly opened counter in Sogo Plaza Senayan, Jakarta.

It’s IOMA’s 9th counter in Indonesia, and earlier this month I was invited to check out the counter. And of course, I wouldn’t missed the opportunity to redo my skin check.

I did my skin check with IOMA before, just in case you missed my previous post, click here. It’s recommended to do skin check on monthly basis, so we’ll know our current skin condition.

That’s IOMA Sphere 2. A very clever machine that can detect our skin’s imperfection which most often invisible to the naked eye. 

So how’s my skin report card?

Well, even though I believe I applied moisturiser religiously, my skin still need more hydration. Bacterial activities is also high and I was faced with clogged pores and dead skin cells. Fortunately I do have some good points as well, such as no sagging skin (yeay!), less wrinkles and dark circles (yeay again!). 

The whole diagnosis will only take less than two minutes, and we can even compare our condition (if like me, you already tried IOMA skin check before). Yes, they kept the record, just like doctor. 

IOMA Sphere 2 will also suggest what combination of their products that we should use, according to our skin report card. That’s what I like about IOMA, they have a bespoke day & night product that exactly made to fit our skin needs. 

Eight active serums will be mixed in front of our very eyes by the therapist, and one pump every morning and night is enough. Very practical for busy woman like myself. 

Another cool product from IOMA is IOMA YOUTH BOOSTER. So advanced, we can check our hydration level, anytime, anywhere with this product. Not your ordinary anti-aging skin care, this can be use to check our skin’s hydration. The lid is actually a sensor to place on cheek for two seconds until the red light lit up. I was given this product, and will review them soon, so stay tune to find out more about this unique skin care product.

This week me and my friends attended IOMA PARIS beauty workshop “Timeless Youthful Skin” at Fairmont Hotel, Jakarta.

At the beautiful high tea lounge, we were able to do skin check by IOMA (and I might say one of the most detailed skin check I’ve ever done).

From the diagnose made on spot, and can be printed to take home, my results are: bacterial activity (especially on nose area), clogged pores, uv damage, dead skin cells and lack of moisture. Not bad, I got 5 out of 12 skin problems that can be detected by the sphere-like machine.

Based on the result, the machine will suggest IOMA products that suitable for my skin needs and also formula (like recipes) for their famous MA CRÈME.

Divided into two, Day and Night, MA CRÈME is a personalised precisions skincare. Very practical, as we don’t have to bring a lot of skin care products while we travel, because it’s like everything your skin needs in a bottle for day and night use. Made from eight serums in dropper bottle, it’s a bespoke skin care product.

But, of course, they have many different products which also can be recommended by the skin check result.
