SMALL IN SIZE, BIG ON STYLE

The perfect way to add instant glam and rise to the occasion. Whatever it is.

I’m a true believer that if someone complimented you for just one thing that you’re wearing, you already scored. Not necessarily a big item, it can be as small as this mini bag. Yes, we all like a great big handbag to carry all of our life’s inside. No doubt about it. But once in the blue moon, we just want to leave that ‘baggage’ at home.

Thank goodness for mini handbags, formerly known as pouch, clutch, whatever they called it. Accessorize yourself with a cute mini handbag and that compliment will surely be yours. Need suggestion? Spoil yourself with these fabulous choices.

SCARLET ALERT

Just an idea of what to wear for the Lunar New Year.

Even though I’m not celebrating (surprise, surprise)… I’m gonna wear something red or maybe scarlet (more bright reddish orange) tomorrow, just because that particular color supposed to symbolize prosperity, fortune and luck.

Some people (read: me) love the color but terrified of pulling it off. No worries, if you’re not ready for a daring red outfit, pick a pop of red, like shoes, clutch or ring which will brighten up your look instantly.

DON’T SWEAT YOUR SWEATPANTS

Don’t you just love the comfortable feeling of wearing a pair?

Making their way out of the gym, this is how you can dress up your sweatpants. Looking chic yet comfortable, check!

Sloppy is definitely out of the context. Pick a thicker cotton material for the sweatpants, but definitely not terry. And no sport brand’s logo please.

Ribbed legs, slim cut at the calf, will make the sweatpants look more awesome with killer heels.

Opt for loose top. Tunics will be a great choice as it looks more fluid and womanly.

Do the color vice versa. Light colored sweat pants, darker top OR the other way around.

Stay out of canvas bag. Pronto. Sharper looking bag is a must.

As for jewelry, don’t overdo it. Just one cuff or bracelet will do.

Shoes? No flats, please. Oh, and leave that gym shoes where they belong.

YOU LOVE THE RED SOLED SHOES, BUT WILL YOU LOVE THE BAGS?

I think my question above already covered it all.

The man behind the famous red soled shoes, Christian Louboutin is still working hard to bring the awareness of his handbag collection. I believe it might be slightly hard to par with his shoes collection, no?

Check out the Resort 2013 collection above, and you’ll be the judge.

PLANNING IS EVERYTHING

Jakarta Fashion Week is coming next week, November 3, 2012 to be exact. And I am preparing, mentally and physically to attend those busy week full of industry schmoozing and networking.

As I don’t want to rush like a mad woman before any shows, I already planned the whole outfit for the week. First, I’ll share my shoes collection. Yes, there’s some high heels involved, but I think I’m going to change throughout the day, even though I can practically run in my heels (proven!). So, I’m counting on my wedges and flats to keep me comfortable during the busy week. I’ll keep you posted on the whole outfit.
