BEING FEATURED

Weekend sharing time. Being street-style snap is cool and being asked to make review about beauty products is what I love the most.

Being featured earlier this year in Fimela.com, Indonesian online fashion and lifestyle magazine, to review a beauty product. And much much earlier back in 2010, I was snapped in Beijing by Tongue In Chic, one of the most read fashion site in Malaysia. Thanks guys. Forever grateful.

I DON’T WANNA GROW UP

Sigh…looking at life through our children’s eyes is the most joyful thing in this world. Even Peter Pan didn’t want to grow up.

But not every children in this world are so lucky. Especially those in India and Bangladesh. Child labour, poor health and education are their major concerns. And it’s good to know that we can help them through the latest collaboration of H&M and UNICEF.

On October 18, the Swedish retailer will introduce “All For Children” Collection to benefit UNICEF at 300 stores worldwide. H&M and UNICEF are working together to protect the rights of some of the poorest children in the world. H&M will donate 25% of the sale of each garment to UNICEF’s work mainly in India and Bangladesh.

While it feels good to purchase something that eventually helping a cause for children, just look at these adorable clothes. And just in time for halloween, this collection added wizard hats, magic wands and rabbit ears too. Totally adorable, cute and put that smile on my face. Watch this on youtube to make you smile even more.

SPOOKTACULAR TREATS

Creepy crawly creatures on cupcakes? If these are one of those Fear Factor test, I would’ve been a volunteer.

Thank heaven they’re real cupcakes not real bugs from Magnolia Bakery in NYC. Vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream topped with assorted bug-themed sugar decorations sounds spooktacular!!

Wait, there’s more from the bakery made world wide famous by Carrie Bradshaw. Chocolate wafer whoopie cookies, shortbread cookies, meringue and candy corn will make the whole trick and treat moment too delicious to treat anybody else.

BREAKING DOWNING

As satchel bag rising back to the fashion radar, thanks to Julie Deane, founder of Cambridge Satchel, now they released a limited edition collection.

Meet The Downing. Sounds familiar? Yes, the name was taken from the famous No. 10 Downing Street, one of the most famous addresses in the world. Julie and her mom, Freda Thomas, were invited there by Samantha Cameron (Prime Minister’s wife). Inspired by their visit there, this limited edition bag was born.

Practical yet so in tune with fashion trend, it comes with a top handle and detachable shoulder strap with three sizes, 11", 13" and 14". I love the duo IT colors for autumn, oxblood and navy. Go get them online before they’re gone.

FASHIONABLE TUMBLER

Look carefully on the details of this tumbler. No, you don’t need to pick up your reading glasses or wait until the picture loads due to slow internet connection because it looks kind of blur. It was made that way by Kate and Laura Mulleavy, known as Rodarte.

This year is really the moment of collaboration, isn’t it? Some we didn’t see them coming. Like this Starbucks collaboration with Rodarte, which produced a limited edition assortment of coffee products. There’ll be a gift card tumbler, reusable cup sleeve and tote bag to buy in Starbucks’ store or online from November 13 onwards. It sure will be a haute hot coffee for fashionistas out there.

FAREWELL EVIL STEP MOTHER

Now all of us can taste a bit of Cinderella’s life, after she got her Prince, of course.

For fall/winter 2012, Sephora released Disney Cinderella Collection. Another limited edition must have this year, since this is the very first batch from the fairytale collection. Yes, there’ll be another collection coming up which feature different Disney Princesses for holiday season. How interesting.

Since princesses are women too, there’ll be lipsticks, fragrances, eyeshadow palettes, compact mirror and nail polish set in the line. And as a woman dreaming of becoming a princess, the Swarovski-edition bottle will be a perfect replacement for Cinderella’s sparkly glass slippers.

luckymag:

Alber Elbaz, Bryanboy, Suzy Menkes, Steven Meisel and Carine Roitfeld as Disney characters. Come this winter, they’ll be starring in animated short as part of Barneys New York’s holiday campaign.

TOO LITTLE TO FIT?

Problem with us ladies when we have to go partying with our tiny little clutch/bag/miniaudiere. Impossible to bring lots of things and stuff them inside those petite space.

Pick your party essentials, so your tiny bag can still look tiny and pretty. In my (petite party) case, I usually bring:
– Blackberry: just in case I got bored.
– Oil blotter: to blot those oil away.
– Lipstick: never forget to touch up your lipstick, no matter what.
– Pressed Powder: because oily face are not pretty.
– Perfume sample: tiny yet powerful for fragrance touch up.
– Dental floss: yes, it is important to floss after any food taken.

See how they fit just fine in that squeezy space?

MAISON MARTIN MARGIELA FOR H&M PICTURES

The collection will be sold in stores at November 15. Yet, some of their images have been reveiled. Now, it made us more curious about the whole collection.

I’m always excited when H&M announced their collaboration projects. For me, it’s double the fun, double the creativity and double the urge to have it. And this Maison Martin Margiela collaboration is no exception. Check out some of the campaign images that were shot by artist and director Sam Taylor-Johnson on the streets of Paris.

Judging by these campaign images, we can expect the much lower priced of Margiela’s signature style. Avant-garde meets sharp tailoring, anyone?
