BLAME IT ON THE RAIN

Time to rock those pretty warmies.

It’s officially rainy season in my hometown, Jakarta, Indonesia. And for us who live almost 365 days of summer, it’s time to pull out those warmies from the bottom of our clothes rack. Especially for those who work indoor, somehow the AC seems to be colder than ever.

But don’t just stick to plain old blazers *yawn. Be more creative to bring more cheerful feeling instead of being cloudy just like the weather outside. These are my top 5 warmies from the high streets brands:

1. Zara leather coat

2. Gap prints sweater

3. H&M knit cardigan

4. Topshop prints biker jacket

5. Mango lace jacket

5 ADORABLE BOX CLUTCHES

One of the must have clutch inside our closet.

As a hardworking woman, we need a tough accessory that will stand by us through time. And box clutch is the perfect bring along. It has a hard case, so your cell phone will be save just in case you dropped it. And the bonus point for box clutch: they look ultra chic and precious. Here are 5 of my favorites, none from high end brands (can you believe they look so gorgeous without the hefty price tag?).

THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING ACCESSORIZED

You’ve probably heard and read somewhere about the power of accessories. Even the simplest clothing will look different when we add something here or there. It’s like adding lemon to your plain water. Knowing this, Inditex, a corporate group that made Zara, Zara Home, Massimo Dutti, Stradivarius, Pull and Bear, Bershka and Oysho, launched Uterqüe in 2008.

Uterqüe means “Both, One and the other” and it made a clear premise, to make accessories a basic in a woman’s wardrobe. WORD! Their product is produced as a limited series so no wonder it’s slightly more expensive than their sister, Zara. Even though they started off selling accessories, now they’re branching out to clothes, too.

The nearest store from Jakarta, Indonesia where I live, is Hong Kong. Check out their well made bags, shoes and necklaces, that were made not for faint of heart or those who just want to blend in with the usual crowd. I can’t wait for Uterqüe store here in my hometown.

PUT AN EFFORT ON EFFORTLESS

Please help….what is it with these all over effortless looks for fall from Zara. I love them all. This look is my favorite, embroidered blouse with pearls combined with the tight skirt with the same details. Check out Liu Wen’s makeup and hair which I hardly doubt will look as pretty on us.
