SPOOKTACULAR TREATS

Creepy crawly creatures on cupcakes? If these are one of those Fear Factor test, I would’ve been a volunteer.

Thank heaven they’re real cupcakes not real bugs from Magnolia Bakery in NYC. Vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with vanilla buttercream topped with assorted bug-themed sugar decorations sounds spooktacular!!

Wait, there’s more from the bakery made world wide famous by Carrie Bradshaw. Chocolate wafer whoopie cookies, shortbread cookies, meringue and candy corn will make the whole trick and treat moment too delicious to treat anybody else.

FASHIONABLE MONSTERS

No. I’m not going to talk about Lady Gaga. Halloween is coming, and I stumbled upon Japanese affordable yet chic label for costumes inspiration.

Even though Halloween is not our tradition in Indonesia, it’s just fun to dressed up if there’s any Halloween party invitation. This Japan label which amazingly so low priced (you can get a pair of jeans for US$10), is apparently a sister company of Uniqlo. Unfortunately, they don’t have any stores outside Japan. The name g.u (reads jiyu) means free in Japanese, and translated to free from high cost clothing. How clever.

I love their “Fashion Monsters” ad on their site, which styled men, women and children in wearable clothes but unique make up plus accessories from gothic to angelic. Just perfect for Halloween, and we can wear the clothes even after the party is over.

SPOOKY NAILS

How time really flies. October is coming, that means time for some Halloween treats.

These are a few collections to color your nails. From the usual and typical dark colors till the bright ones with cute stickers. Your choice.
