WHAT’S NEW FROM THE HIGH STREET’S DARLING

Like chicken & eggs, which come first? 
For me, number one is comfortable factor, followed by style. But for this particular high street brand from UK, I can have them both. Plus added bonus, their easy to mix n match factor. 

Earlier this month, Dorothy Perkins Indonesia launched a Style Essentials collection in Penang Bistro, Grand Indonesia, Jakarta. With fellow bloggers & press, we were able to see all of the pieces that you’ll love for Spring Summer this year. Well, this season, there are 10 must have pieces:

Judging from my lifestyle, my favorite will be: the soft trouser, the boyfriend jean, the statement shirt, the maxi and the midi. And what I love about this Style Essentials Collection, even though they add Spring Summer 14 to its’ name, they’re actually fashion pieces that will last longer than that. And do you know that Dorothy Perkins Indonesia didn’t carry that much of items on every style? For example, the mini bag didn’t even reach 100 pcs available in stores. Whether you realized it or not, we do it every single morning. What to wear? Do these outfits look good on me? Are they proper for today’s activities?

Personally, I am a great believer of personal styling. Nobody understand yourself better than you. That’s why I love high street brands, they do give us ability to mix and match our wardrobe without breaking the bank. One of my favorite high street brand is DOROTHY PERKINS from the UK. Recently, they launched their latest Autumn/Winter capsule collection, named Style Essentials. I’m lucky to be one of the bloggers to collaborate with Dorothy Perkins for this perfect collection of 10 key pieces to update Autumn/Winter look.

I found this range as very easy to wear and more long lasting. Being a mother/blogger/owner of an accessories online store, I’m practically leading a busy life and in desperate need of looking effortlessly stylish all the time. SPRING SUMMER, KARDASHIAN STYLE

This is how the Kardashian’s sisters saw Spring Summer through their fashion collaboration with Dorothy Perkins.

Yes, the second batch from Kardashian Kollection by Dorothy Perkins is coming to Jakarta tomorrow. So, Kardashian’s sisters fans out there, be prepared to go to Dorothy Perkins’ stores in Grand Indonesia and Central Park (FYI, there are only two stores in Jakarta which carry this Kollection).

I was invited to their VIP Preview today at Grand Indonesia, and have a chat with an insider about how successful the first Kollection was. Apparently, Indonesia sold the most Kardashian Kollection Autumn/Winter 2012 compared to our neighbors in South East Asia. Wow, Kongratulations! 

So, what to expect from the Spring Summer 2013 Kollection? Definitely more fresh color, even though there are still black here and there. Graphic prints, body con dresses, light jacket in ombre colors, and a series of cute clutches and sling bags. I can still see the sisters’ individual style in the whole Kollection, like the glamourous body con dresses are so Kim, the loose tops are so Kourtney and the black leather lined leggings are so Khloe. Yes, there is something for everyone. 

SCARLET ALERT

 

Just an idea of what to wear for the Lunar New Year.

 

Even though I’m not celebrating (surprise, surprise)… I’m gonna wear something red or maybe scarlet (more bright reddish orange) tomorrow, just because that particular color supposed to symbolize prosperity, fortune and luck.

Some people (read: me) love the color but terrified of pulling it off. No worries, if you’re not ready for a daring red outfit, pick a pop of red, like shoes, clutch or ring which will brighten up your look instantly.

This is how Dorothy Perkins Indonesia celebrate Kardashian Kollection’s launch.

The dress code is gold and glam. So what better outfit to party than the gold drape dress from Kardashian Kollection that I wore yesterday evening for the event. The beautiful Indonesian celebrities hosts: famous trio singers, B3 (Nola, Cynthia & Widi), actress Wulan Guritno and Carissa Puteri looked stunning with their own choices from the Kollection.

Fashionable party people flocked up in Dorothy Perkins’ store at Grand Indonesia, Jakarta, sipping “Kardashian Kocktails”, and checked out 30 fashion and 8 bags Kollections in store. Reasonably price under Rp 900.000 each, there are some things for everyone, even for real people like me and you.

In Jakarta, Indonesia, the Kardashian Kollection will be exclusively available in Grand Indonesia and Central Park, with 25 pieces sold for each style only. So, you’d better hurry before they sold out.

MY “KOOL” PICKS OF THE DAY

Being one of the lucky Fimelahood girls, I was invited to Dorothy Perkins’s store in Central Park Mall, Jakarta, Indonesia today to see and pick my favorite Kardashian Kollection fashion items.

Thanks to Fimela.com, the lucky Fimelahood girls can have a sneak peek to the ever famous Kardashian Kollection before Dorothy Perkins Indonesia launched the whole Kollection (with the ‘K’, people!) for public on December 6, 2012. I had fun at this “Dress Up Day”, as I got the chance to pick the complete look (minus the shoes and belt). 

As you might already knew, Dorothy Perkins collaborated with the trio K (Kim, Kourtney and Khloe) for this Kollection that truly reflect their personal style. So, expect lots of leopard prints, body con dress, blazer, skinnies, sequins with options like drape dresses, laces and watercolor print. Not too mention, their bags Kollection featured quilted totes, glitter clutches and miniaudiere. 

If you think it sounds too glam for your everyday’s staples, as we might not walk on the red carpet every night, wait until you check out my personal pick from the Kardashian Kollection. I really think that being a mother of two, really connected me in the fashion universe kind of thing, with….Kourtney. I love how Kourtney black skinny jeans really fitted my body and legs so well, unlike other skinnies that tend to be too tight and uncomfortable at the crotch area (ouch). I also chose the black bucket bag with gold studs, just like the one she’s holding on the look book. 

I called my look “Klashing the Prints” (again, with the ‘K’, people!), cause I did mix a sheer printed pussybow blouse with a watercolor print blazer. Finishing the whole look with a Dorothy Perkins gold chain belt and a pair of Dorothy Perkins black pumps, I really do think that every cool urban girl or mom (in my case, ehm) can look so on-trend with this Kollection (which will be in store right here in Jakarta from December 6, 2012). FYI, Dorothy Perkins will have a special launch party event at the exact date, so stay tune to see me in a whole new look by Kardashian Kollection, as I’m already thinking about the outfits to attend the ‘Kool’ Party.

KENI, KIDI, KICI (Kardashian’s language for they came, they saw, they conquered)

At this point, I have to admit that these sisterhood is really taking the world by storm. I can’t keep up with them anymore. This time around, their fashion label, Kardashian Kollection, is set to launch on November 8 in the UK. Precisely, in the famous high street label, Dorothy Perkins.

Currently still sold at Sears in the US, they’re excited to unleash their kollection to UK’s fans. As reported by WWD, Sir Phillip Green who owns Dorothy Perkins said “Having reviewed the product, I felt that there was an excellent fit for Dorothy Perkins. I believe our customers will love the fashion looks, they passionately follow celebrity lifestyle, and the Kardashian sisters rank top when it comes to whom they relate to in the fashion stakes.”

What can we expect from the range? Figure hugging denim, stylish handbags, synthetic fur jackets and of course, leopard prints. Be prepared for their future steps, these three gals will also launch the Kollection in 12 other countries across the world, such as Turkey, Thailand, Saudi Arabia and ….. Indonesia. Really, Indonesia?
