EVERY STEP YOU TAKE

They said, every day is a fashion show and the world is the runway.

You bet! For those who fear not to make any statement that stick to any part of your body, embrace “Heavy Machine”. Footwear brand established in 2010 by Michelle Wu, born in Taiwan, live in Italy. She was inspired by industrial machine structures and heavy strong lines which delivered a hell out of statement shoes collection.

Not just trendy, her shoes are edgy, strong, yet feminine in the same time. Check out my faves from her SS 2013 collection, with such modern, architectural, bright and bold vibes. Made out of high quality calf leather and all made in Italy, I can’t wait for “Heavy Machine” to reach Indonesia (currently the nearest country available in Taiwan).

Well darlings, if you want to become the center of any attention, make sure to wear the right kind of shoes.

CAUSE WE’RE LIVING IN A PAPER WORLD

According to Prada and its’ inspiration board comes to life short video.

ONE CAN ONLY DREAM

A lingerie label which is not a secret anymore.

I stumbled upon Oysho stores on my old trip to Barcelona, and I instantly fell in love with the brand. Too bad, even though they already have more than 400 stores around the world, this (first started as) lingerie label, have no sign of opening in Indonesia. Or…are they?

A part of Inditex Group (yes, Zara and all), Oysho also provide more than just underwear. I love their basic & casual (home) clothing that feels so comfy to the max, and they branched out to swimsuit as well.

As much as I hate looking at most lingerie ads for being too over sexy and men oriented (sorry guys, no offense), Oysho’s is just perfect. They just scream sexy without overdoing it and they look so pretty and comfortable, you want to slip them on right away. Just check out Jessica Stam as the face of Oysho’s Spring Summer 2013 campaign, and see if you agree with me.

COLLABORATION NATION

Because 1+1 = 2?

Tight budget? This is the fashionable way out without THE price.

WELCOMING H&M BIG SISTER

Finally, the official look book of “& Other Stories” has hit the web.

Spring & Summer 2013 will never be the same again, now that H&M big sister “& Other Stories” is in the fashion world. The first ever luxury line consist of only ready to wear womenswear plus accessories and beauty products.

No pricing out yet, but considering they announced it as a luxury line and more refined senior (I’d prefer big sister, though) version of H&M, I guess they’ll be more expensive than H&M. Maybe same like COS (another brand which also belongs to H&M)?

Here are some of my favorites.

O ROMEO, ROMEO! WHEREFORE ART THOU ROMEO?

Please welcome the new young cast of Burberry family, hand-picked by Christopher Bailey himself …. Romeo Beckham.

Famous last name (thanks to Dad, David) … checked!
Dad’s similar hair cut … checked!
Mom’s lips … checked!

THIS IS HOW 21ST CENTURY ROMANTICISM LOOKS LIKE

Hand painted floral prints, Japanese inspired with key items such as tunic jackets and caftans presented by Veronica Etro, for ETRO Spring Summer 2013.

Apparently, in clear rejection of speedy computer-generated prints, ETRO chose the art of hand painted prints. Expect to see more simplified shapes fashion with unbelievable wearability factor which will work for any type of body. And those clutches are to die for. Look at the one with an Origami’s knot style, isn’t it gorgeous?

A GLIMPSE FROM JAKARTA FASHION WEEK 2013: DAY 3

Sponsored by Samsung, two of the very talented Indonesian designers, Auguste Soesastro and Oscar Lawalata presented their collection for Spring Summer 2013.

Auguste went first showing his signature style: clean, structured, simple with basic colors that so ready to wear. Being as humble and simple as he is, he even let the model went free without fake eyelashes. Wow, there’s always the first time for something, right?

As for Oscar, he’s really into art deco and it showed in his line which seems to be focused in the constructive pattern with geometric design. Using materials such as tule, wool, cotton and our very own, batik, his collection is attractively modern.

SHOES AND CINEMA

The spring summer collection 2013 from an Italian footwear brand can be viewed via super short cinematic experience.

Cannes Film Festival winner Drake Doremus, directed a special commissioned film for Sergio Rossi. And like the combination of colors, textures and geometric shapes in the shoes collection, we can say the same about the short movie that can be view here

Titled “The Search”, it is an unique kind of celebration between fashion and cinema, and is dedicated to all the women who have ever worn Sergio Rossi. Even though walking in the woods with Sergio Rossi pumps might sounds absurd, but “The Search” is beautifully made with a nice tune as well, so I’m excited even just for shoes watching. See it to believe it.

MISS MATCH VS MISMATCHED

The wonderful wonder of styling which display new alternatives approach to the world of fashion.

It really depends on how you see yourself. You want to play safe? Or you prefer a bit random and fun look for your outfits? For sure, these two looks seem to dominate Milan Fashion Week for Spring Summer 2013. So it’s a shame if you don’t try both looks for your every day’s style. I hope you get inspired.
