NEED A SATURDAY FASHION TIPS?

Let me present two collections with the most wanted day in mind.

You’re not alone if you wish every day is Saturday. The joy of no alarm clock, no morning rush, suddenly all things wonderful. And yet those relaxing feeling should be interpreted in the correct fashionable way…means no sloppy attires on the weekend please.

Thankfully, Marni (collaborated with a Dutch artist, Rop van Mierlo) created their new capsule collection for Spring 2013 called “Saturday Morning” and Kate Spade, launched her hip little sister named “Saturday”. Just perfect for a lovely Saturday.

Bright, colorful, fun clothes and accessories, with more affordable price than their original line are another reason why we should love Saturday even more.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO WEAR OVERALLS NOW?

Why not? The old school style is making a big come back this spring.

From Jason Wu to Philip Lim, grown up overalls are in. Come in materials like linen and leather, it’ll be a refreshing urbane look for this Spring. But how we (as adults) can pull off this look?

Here’s some tips:

Slim cuts are the best option. You don’t want to look sloppy wearing a big and oversize overall.

Instead of just denim, opt for materials like linen or leather. For more casual days, you can pick darker denim.

Play with texture and materials for layering. Instead of plain old T-shirt, look for blouses with more grown-up materials, like lace or chiffon.

To complete the whole look, add sharp looking accessories like clutch, shoes and earrings.

A smart looking and simply cut blazer will be a perfect companion if you want to rock this look for your office attire.

‘FOR A WOMAN WHO DRESSES FOR HERSELF"

who doesn’t follow trends but is sophisticated and also maybe a little eccentric,“ said Marni’s creative director, Consuelo Castiglioni about Marni’s first ever fragrance.

You read it right, Marni has (finally) join the scent-making industry with the help of Estee Lauder company. Simply called, Marni, the notes that described as very modern, bold and more mature, with fruity, floral and woodsy scent, also includes an intense rose oil infusion to add a bit of depth. The little "Huggy” doll comes with the purse spray and dressed in a matching spotted skirt, just like the bottle. The bottle itself, is inspired by an old flacon that Consuelo found at a flea market 20 years ago, unique rounded shape with polkadots. The line will be priced from US$50-US$155 and includes body lotion, shower gel and body cream.

So if you ever feel like you fit to the description Consuelo mentioned above, feel free to have “MARNI”.

MISS MATCH VS MISMATCHED

The wonderful wonder of styling which display new alternatives approach to the world of fashion.

It really depends on how you see yourself. You want to play safe? Or you prefer a bit random and fun look for your outfits? For sure, these two looks seem to dominate Milan Fashion Week for Spring Summer 2013. So it’s a shame if you don’t try both looks for your every day’s style. I hope you get inspired.

NO PIERCING? NO PROBLEM

Still blaming my mother up to this day for not giving ear piercing to her only baby daughter (that’ll be me). Now, as an adult, I don’t have the guts to pierce my ears. But as time goes by, there are fortunately many clip on earrings produced, including those from designers. These are my favorite clip on earrings from my favorite site Net A Porter.

CINDERELLA’S SYNDROME

As a girl that grew up with Cinderella’s story, and being bombarded by Coco Chanel quote’s that “A woman with good shoes is never ugly”, I do believe in not just good but great shoes. For me, it’s another investment for life. These adorable babies from Net-A-Porter are my current faves.

I’M FEELING BLACK

Yes, it’s still blazing hot in my hometown, and I’m already feeling like wearing all black. Love all of these fall 2012 collection. I think I’m going to do this sort of my mood board every month. Enjoy.
