FIRST, HULA HOOP BAG …

Now…it’s ice cream with cone heels…

from the one & only Kaiser, Karl Lagerfeld. His capsule collection for Melissa shoes, named Kollaboration has finally launched in the US. And the muse? Cara Delevigne was chosen to star in the ad campaign, through the Kaiser’s lens as well.
This is the first time Karl collaborated with the Brazilian jelly shoes brand, and also his first time working with plastic materials for shoes.
For Indonesia’s Melissa’s fans, let’s cross our fingers, as their official Indonesia facebook page already shown the pictures from the Kollaboration Collection.

SHOULD AULD ACQUAINTANCE BE FORGOT?

Let’s toast for a very happy new year.

Supposedly to be my last blog at 2012, I personally can’t be more happy to welcome 2013. Lots have happened this year, and as my hubby always said “everything happened for a reason”. Although I’m the kind of person who’s always seeking for an answer “why?”, but lately I’ve learned my lessons well. One day, we’ll all know the answer.

Karl Lagerfeld once tweeted “I design like I breathe”. Well, I believe I write like I breathe. There was a time earlier this year when I just wanted to stop writing forever, but I couldn’t. Those words were flying inside my brain. Then, I found tumblr. Perfect releasing tools to keep doing what I love.

Support from my family, friends (real ones), and you (yes, you) really means a lot for this blog (please click the LIKE button on the right column). Anyway, this blog hasn’t reach her first year yet, lots to catch up. But boy was I surprised and happy to see one Russian lady liked my tumblr (thank you).

Someone once said that happiness is small and achievable goals. I am doing it, so I guess I’m achieving exactly that. Here’s to 2012. Cheers!!!

DON’T CALL KARL, HE’S BUSY

Karl as in Lagerfeld, is really serious to continue his fashion world domination.

Out in February 2013, he collaborated with Fossil on a range of watches. Total seven watches will be released in conjunction with Paris Fashion Week and the opening of his new “World of Karl” store.

Variety of styles, from classic stainless steels, assortment of colors, metallic leathers, shiny chains to pyramid studs details, all the watches will feature a side profile (complete with that famous ponytails) silhouette of Kaiser Karl himself. And with prices range from US$150 to $595, now we all can keep track of time with style.

TOO MANY COLLABS ….

So little time to choose. My goodness. From the dead to the still alive and very much kicking, from pop art to a cartoony character.

Out in November 2012, Karl Lagerfeld’s upcoming collaboration with Shu Uemura, which conceived after Karl got inspired from a stack of colorful eyeshadows. I love the mascot that he created, named Mon Shu Girl. So Kawaii.

25 years after Andy Warhol’s death, will also mark the launch of Nars Andy Warhol Collection. There’ll be 29 pieces in the whole collection (out in October and November) that capture the spirit of Andy and his many muses.

Former Vogue Paris Editor (my idol), Carine Roitfeld partnered with MAC. Expect to look exactly like her make up style, which constantly filled with smouldering smoky eyes and  kohl being smudged around from the 21 pieces collection, out in September 2012.

Known for her upbeat London Fashion Week shows, filled with her rainbow hued designs, Scottish designer, Louise Gray created her new makeup collection collaborating with Topshop. Young and fun like her designs, this is the first time Topshop Makeup have done a designer collaborative range since it was launched 12 years ago. It has been launched on August 23, 2012.
