WHEN FASHION & BEAUTY COLLIDE

Only 100 pieces available, ladies!

This is a cute collaboration minaudièr by Olympia Le-Tan and Lancome. If Olympia’s name rings a bell for you, it’s because this French designer is famous for her minaudièrs that feature classic book covers. Yup, she’s inspired by the world of literature and old hand-stitched books.

For this minaudièr that took 18 hours to make (each), Olympia also personally chosen 12 of her favorite shades from Lancome’s Rouge in Love lipstick and Vernis in Love nail polish which will be placed inside the minaudièr. Instead of having gold finish clasp and side like her other designs, Olympia used silver for this imaginary novel. Perfect for a mirror replacement for a quick touch up on the go.

The US$1000 minaudièr will be available through Lancome’s website starting February 1, 2013.

Fred Butler, London-based accessories designer created this limited edition “Dodecahedron Collision”. Bright, colorful and extra quirky, they’re only 777 watches available worldwide. Surely prepared to be a collector’s item, each watch comes in a pyramid shaped case engraved with its serial number.

DIGITAL PRINT SATCHELS

Dig in some digital print on fashion lately? Then one of this satchel bag has to be in your collection.

Basso & Brooke are actually the shortened for Bruno Basso & Christopher Brooke. They are the pioneers of the digital print process in fashion. Michelle Obama wore one of the label’s top in 2009, and it was like a seal of fashion approval for the UK’s brand, making Basso & Brooke one of the very first UK designers to be worn by the First Lady.

They have collaborated with lots of brands previously (from fashion to beauty), from Swarovski to TIGI. And to close this 2012 with glory, they collaborated with fellow UK’s brand, Cambridge Satchel Company for this cool bag. Printed digitally using original Basso & Brooke print on genuine leather, they are now available for pre-order before Christmas time. Only 100 bags available for each design, this limited edition collection are only sold online. The good news: they provide express worldwide delivery for this collectible satchels.

Karl as in Lagerfeld, is really serious to continue his fashion world domination.

And with prices range from US$150 to $595, now we all can keep track of time with style.

FOR SNEAKERS SEEKERS

In case you’ve been living inside a cave, sneakers are back…big time!

From the wedges sneakers to the good old slim soles ones, like Keds. Next February 2013, Keds will be teaming up with Kate Spade.

True to her signature style and clicked with the fun and preppy concept from Keds, Kate created 8 styles that will include striped, polkadots and gingham sneakers. This upcoming collection will be sold at Nordstrom stores and online, also at Kate Spade stores.

WOOED BY WU, AGAIN

Exploring his design possibilities with material like plastic, Jason Wu did it again with Melissa shoes.

Started their collaboration for the Spring 2012 collection, look at his midas touch for the Brazil brand. He played with Melissa’s unique patent plastic, named Melfex to create his own imagination of jelly shoes. I love the flats, especially the green Melissa Moon+Jason Wu.

I DON’T WANNA GROW UP

Sigh…looking at life through our children’s eyes is the most joyful thing in this world. Even Peter Pan didn’t want to grow up.

But not every children in this world are so lucky. Especially those in India and Bangladesh. Child labour, poor health and education are their major concerns. And it’s good to know that we can help them through the latest collaboration of H&M and UNICEF.

On October 18, the Swedish retailer will introduce “All For Children” Collection to benefit UNICEF at 300 stores worldwide. H&M and UNICEF are working together to protect the rights of some of the poorest children in the world. H&M will donate 25% of the sale of each garment to UNICEF’s work mainly in India and Bangladesh.

While it feels good to purchase something that eventually helping a cause for children, just look at these adorable clothes. And just in time for halloween, this collection added wizard hats, magic wands and rabbit ears too. Totally adorable, cute and put that smile on my face. Watch this on youtube to make you smile even more.

FASHIONABLE TUMBLER

Look carefully on the details of this tumbler. No, you don’t need to pick up your reading glasses or wait until the picture loads due to slow internet connection because it looks kind of blur. It was made that way by Kate and Laura Mulleavy, known as Rodarte.

This year is really the moment of collaboration, isn’t it? Some we didn’t see them coming. Like this Starbucks collaboration with Rodarte, which produced a limited edition assortment of coffee products. There’ll be a gift card tumbler, reusable cup sleeve and tote bag to buy in Starbucks’ store or online from November 13 onwards. It sure will be a haute hot coffee for fashionistas out there.
