SHINE BRIGHT LIKE SWAROVSKI

Congrats to Swarovski for opening another boutique in Grand Indonesia, Jakarta.

My first Swarovski was the charm bracelet my hubby gave me for Christmas. I guess for some (read: lots of) men, it’s super easy to pick up a gift for the loved ones at Swarovski. Women + Bling = Done!

Yup that bling Swarovski sent out will definitely cater our need to look our best at any given moment. From the simple long necklace with pendant to statement colorful collar necklace, they have it all. Attending Swarovski’s boutique opening at Grand Indonesia, Jakarta, this week, I was also surprised to see Men’s Collection (though not many), and cute Hello Kitty’s crystal statuette’s.

Just in time for the new boutique, they also launched Fall Winter 2014 Collection, starring Miranda Kerr. Nope, there was no Miranda at the event. But I love what she wears for the campaign, very easy to wear yet look stunningly bold. Check out the pics above, my personal favorite from the collection, ranging from those long layered necklace worn on models on the runway and those stacked bangles on Miranda’s. I truly believe that now it’s a whole lot more easier for your loved ones (ok, and yourself too) to pick a thing or two, or more from Swarovski.

ETHNIC BLING

Ah, jewelry. I always have a thing for two for beautiful accessories. And MANJUSHA NUSANTARA is one of my favorite brand from Indonesia.

Last May 2014, they’re celebrating their 3rd anniversary with a thematic fashion show “Eksotika Kalingga” which presented an interpreted collection of classic traditional Javanese jewelries from the 6th and 7th century.

The best part of the collection: it’s very affordable as they weren’t made from gold or silver and very easy to mix and match with modern clothing. Just check out the pics above.

TIME AFTER TIME

Can’t get enough of Givenchy?

If you’re a die-hard Givenchy connoisseur, you’ll be thrilled to hear that Riccardo Tisci has decided to relive the watches collection. As you might know and realized by now, the previous Givenchy watches collection was discontinued in 2009.

Each named after a prime number and featuring such luxuries as gold plate, interchangeable straps, and a distinctively rugged feel, the collection is exclusively available at Colette, Barneys New York (in NYC and Beverly Hills), 10 Corso Como in Milan, Seoul’s Boon the Shop, Selfridges, and selected Givenchy stores. The watches will hit a wider range of boutiques in September.

CLICK & SHOP SOME MORE

Online shoppers, rejoice. Another Indonesian online shop specialized in accessories is officially on.

From my previous post here, you might have an idea about the local Indonesian accessories line, Piera by Myra.

Last Wednesday, fellow medias were invited by Myra, the designer behind the local Indonesian label. She announced the birth of her online store, knowing that fashionable and modern ladies are eager to browse online for her chic accessories.

I love how easy it is to browse through her online store, just as she said, “it’s just a click away”. Detailed shots for over than 50 collections surely will be a feast for the eyes, all clearly displayed with product information and pricing. Easy and convenient. Isn’t that what online shopping is all about?

STRICTLY FOR LADIES

When in doubt, and yes when you’re having one of those bad hair days, wear headband.

It’s one of the Spring 2013 trend, and a look that’s super easy to pull of by anyone. But how on earth can we differ ourselves from those elementary school girls?

  • First: slim is way better than wide. Blair Waldorf’s style is over, people.
  • Embellishments such as crystals, pearls, studs will put an adult stamp on your look.
  • Think of your hair style. Don’t just brush your hair, swept them up (like Olivia’s hairstylist did) or put a flick on the ends (like Kerry’s hairstylist did).
  • Dress your age, dear. Go for more structured ensemble, and stick to solid (not pastel) colors.

FIRST, HULA HOOP BAG …

Now…it’s ice cream with cone heels…

from the one & only Kaiser, Karl Lagerfeld. His capsule collection for Melissa shoes, named Kollaboration has finally launched in the US. And the muse? Cara Delevigne was chosen to star in the ad campaign, through the Kaiser’s lens as well.
This is the first time Karl collaborated with the Brazilian jelly shoes brand, and also his first time working with plastic materials for shoes.
For Indonesia’s Melissa’s fans, let’s cross our fingers, as their official Indonesia facebook page already shown the pictures from the Kollaboration Collection.

SCARLET ALERT

Just an idea of what to wear for the Lunar New Year.

Even though I’m not celebrating (surprise, surprise)… I’m gonna wear something red or maybe scarlet (more bright reddish orange) tomorrow, just because that particular color supposed to symbolize prosperity, fortune and luck.

Some people (read: me) love the color but terrified of pulling it off. No worries, if you’re not ready for a daring red outfit, pick a pop of red, like shoes, clutch or ring which will brighten up your look instantly.

ARE YOU IN A SCRUNCHIE MOOD?

Fashionably spotted in Vivienne Westwood Red Label Spring Summer 2013 catwalk, loved by none other Hillary Clinton, and now Cara Delevingne star in the campaign for a hair scrunchie’s company? Oh well…

The new east London-based accessories label, My Crazy Scrunchie (MCS for short) is bringing back the famous hair accessory circa 1980s which featured Cara as one of the model. The duo behind this label, Laura Fraser and Eu Simo Grijalbo are the one who’s also responsible for Vivienne’s Red Label SS 2013 scrunchies.

FYI, the original scrunchie was invented by Philip E. Meyers for a family called “Scrunci” in 1963 as a practical hair accessory. As any (read: most) fashion items, it evolved from time to time, loved back in the days, noted as a notoriously bad-taste accessory, and now…it’s back on trend track! But the big question is: will you wear them again? (Thank God I have short hair).

A TOUCH OF ACCESSORIES

…named Mango Touch.

Personally, I believe in the power of a good accessories. It can complete the total look. Mango Touch is one my favorite brand for accessories, for its’ more exclusive. Yes, it can be more expensive as well, one chain necklace can cost more than Rp 500.000. But, for me, it’s worth it. After all, we need to splurge once in a while, right? (Self defense mode on).

CAN’T WAIT FOR HOLIDAY

Check out these super fun accessories from Kate Spade Holiday 2012 collection. I love the car clutch. It’s so adorable. And have I mentioned that brooch will be the IT accessories anytime now? Go get them!
