LADIES PREFER DIAMONDS
That famous little blue box that every women dream of receiving in one very fine day. Happy 175th anniversary for Tiffany & Co.
Don’t bother to look for that ever famous blue color in Pantone. It is produced as a private custom color and a trademarked color, so it won’t be publicly available. Yes, that’s how exclusive Tiffany is.
First opened in 1837 as a stationery and fancy goods emporium, it took 16 years later for Tiffany & Co to focus on jewelry instead. Since then, Tiffany jewels have always been adored and word by the rich and the famous. Do you know that Marilyn Monroe said “Tiffany” twice in her movie “Gentlemen prefer Blondes”?
To celebrate their anniversary, the new collection will presents the rich history of Tiffany with a beautiful legendary gemstone pieces. Two shown here (see pictures above), are Kunzite and Morganite. The Kunzite pendant honours Dr. George Frederick Kunz who discovered the lilac-pink stone. It’s over 175 carats, with diamonds set in platinum hangs on a diamond and platinum chain. The Morganite necklace with a shimmering pink Cushion Morganite gemstone which first introduced in 1910. With a ribbon like diamond bow centered with a Tiffany Novo diamond, on a necklace of diamonds and platinum, it certainly woo me.
